19/12/2008 Skip through Christmas to January 2009 Releases!
That's right Jazz punters, for a short moment, we are blocking out Christmas to bring to you information on 2 new releases for 2009!
First up, there is Newmarket favourite Ingrid James along with John Reeves with 'Circumflex', featuring some classic covers such as 'God Only Knows' by The Beach Boys, 'And I Love Her' by The Beatles and many more.
Ben Carr Trio arrives with 'The Year We Turned It On' featuring 10 originals, of which 'Take Two', 'Zip It', 'Unit 6' and 'Slow Down' reflect conventional jazz compositions overflowing with melody and improvisation.
Both titles will be released on the 12th of January and can be pre ordered on our website!

Hope everyone is swimming along well...here at Newmarket we are still feeding off from the great gig vibes, this weekend saw Sally Ford and band put on one amazing gig at the infamous Spiegeltent, well done Sally! 'Births, Deaths & Marriages' is continuing to set a buzz, recently receiving a 3 and a half star review in the Sunday Herald Sun!
Looking to create a great soundtrack to your pre Christmas catch ups? The fantastic Stella Skinner Quartet will be performing at Lebowski's, 303 Bar (303 High Street, Northcote), Monday the 15th of December. Stella recently received a 3 star review in the Weekend Australian for 'Paper Planes'.
Daimon Brunton will be playing his final show for 2008 at the Paris Cat (6 Goldie Place, Melbourne) from 9pm on the 20th of December, featuring Olaf Scott on piano, Mark Lockett on drum, Leonardo Rigo on double bass.
