28/05/2008 Margie Lou Dyer & Allan Browne take you to Allfrey Street, at Bennett's Lane this Sunday 1st June!
Margie Lou Dyer & Allan Browne will be launching their new recording 'Allfrey Street' this Sunday 1st of June at Bennett's Lane from 3pm. $12 or $10 concession. The philosophy guiding Allfrey Street was to use an old style drum kit, with a strong left-handed piano style, as the core rhythmic approach to the material chosen for the album. The album includes the three 'Daughters of Jazz'; Margie Lou Dyer, Rebecca Barnard & Stella Browne.

Newmarket Music congratulates Megan Washington along with sweet Lowdown on their recent wins at the 2008 Australian Jazz Bell Awards, held at Federation Square's BMW Edge. Megan and Sean Foran's album 'Nightlight' took out the AICE Best Australian Jazz Vocal Album Award, while Sweet Lowdown's 'Cuttin' Capers' won the Gibson Best Australian Classic Jazz Album Award.
